I guess you started noticing and seeing those Rewind compilations from various services reviewing the top things that happened during the year 2012.
Google for instance introduced their Zeitgeist 2012 YouTube video hooking up with the most searches that defined the year 2012.
Couple of days Later, Facebook introduced the 2012 year review “See Your 2012 Year in Review” or as Finn described it Digitally Rewind 2012

And today I noticed YouTube’s 2012 Rewind Style, now that’s an amazing and cool video, reviewing the most important 2012 events that defined YouTube.
